Stress is a very common finding in our society today. There are three major causes of stress.
- Physical
- Emotional
- Chemical
Physical stress is like a whiplash. Emotional stress is fear, grief, or anger. Chemical stress is poor nutrition, smoking, or a whole host of substances that adversely affect our nervous systems. When your stress goes up, (PEC levels), it causes the muscles in your body to react and tighten. When this occurs, the spine begins to shift, causing subluxations which increase the stress even more. Adjustments lower your PEC levels and allow your body to function at optimum.
